Types of Kitchen Sinks
Most of us use our kitchen sink multiple times every day. They are a main fixture of any kitchen and serve essential functions from meal preparation to simply washing our hands. All designs offer different benefits and options for your kitchen. Below provides an explanation on each type of kitchen sink.
Top mount/Drop-in Sinks: These sinks are considered to be the easiest for installation. They require an opening that has been measured and cut before installation. The sink is lowered into position, which is supported by the countertop.
Undermount Sinks: Undermount sinks are installed below the countertop. These are easy to clean and gives a sleek appearance. Only the basin portion is visible.
Farmhouse Sinks/Apron Sinks: These sinks are typically going to be larger, wider and have a deeper basin making it easier for things like washing pots and pans. This design will also reduce the amount of splashing.
